A few weeks ago we brought you the viral sensation that was Double Rainbow, all the way across the sky. Microsoft has since decided to use him in a commercial for their Live Photo Gallery product. Microsoft is neither the first, nor will they be the last brand to use an internet meme to push one of their products. However, the important thing to remember when using an internet meme – the one thing Microsoft didn’t do – is use the meme in a clever creative way, do not simply reproduce the meme and stick your brand in there. Bad for Microsoft for improper use of a meme, but good for this guy for scoring some cash off of this thing.
