Marketing Innovation – Nike Burrito

Food trucks have been all the rage in Los Angeles this past year. Now, with the Great Food Truck Race on the Food Network, it’s all the rage across the country, and Nike executed a really cool program with Koi Fusion to celebrate Musicfest NW. “Fans and followers of @nikesportswear and @koifusionpdx on Twitter received messages discussing a new menu item, the Destroyer Burrito. They were instructed to request the Destroyer at the Koi Fusion truck near Portland State University on Tuesday, September 7th.” To their astonishment, they were handed what looked like a burrito of epic proportions. However, when unwrapped, it was the a Nike jacket.
