Marketing Innovation – Hogwarts Platform 9 3/4

For many, standing at station 9 ¾ would be beyond a dream – for those many in New York City, they nearly passed out when they saw this service option on the 14th Street Union Square Station sign. The mythical platform from Harry Potter somehow made its way on to the MTA’s subway sign on opening night of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows just around the corner from a Regal Cinema. This minute detail caused quite the digital stir as people stopped to take pictures and alert their entire social outreach of the phenomenal find. However, no one has fessed up to the brilliant stunt yet – maybe due to the MTA fine for defacing MTA property of a whopping $75.
