Marketing Innovation – Converse’s The Sampler App

We recently had discussions in Innovations about how brands are shifting from the 2009-early 2010 trend of creating their own branded apps to integrating into apps with large reach. However, Converse is bucking that trend as they recently put out their own application called “The Sampler,” that uses augmented reality to allow you to try on shoes and see what they might look like on your feet. If you like how it looks, you can buy them on the spot through the application – it’s a very cool and well done app.
