On Friday, January 23rd, Keith Olbermann announced his departure from MSNBC. Word is, that this was a long time coming as sources at NBC said Olbermann was incredibly difficult to deal with, often clashing with directives given to him. On top of that, he was asking for more money, stating he was under paid as compared to his counterparts. Today, Olbermann has announced that he has accepted the position of Chief News Officer at Current TV and will also have a major primetime news and commentary program airing later in 2011. On top of what is probably a hefty salary, he also has a stake in Current Media.
